medical scribe is a person who is hired to document the health care provider’s interactions with patients, transcribe the provider’s notes and enter them into the patient’s electronic health record. Medical scribes are typically trained medical professionals who have a background in medical terminology and coding. They are typically hired by hospitals, doctors’ offices, and other medical facilities to provide support to health care providers. Medical scribes can also be employed by medical billing companies. The main goal of the scribe is to free up the doctor from administrative or secretarial tasks so that he or she can concentrate more on providing clinical treatment. A scribe's career might follow a variety of routes. They can advance through the ranks to become a senior scribe, quality assurance specialist, trainer, or manager. Many scribes continue their study to work in the medical area as nurses or even doctors. A solid entry-level occupation that you can pursue while finishing your education is becoming a scribe.There are training programmes that exist outside of the curriculum offered by each organization, even though the majority of scribe companies offer their own customized training to ensure quality and consistency. In 2011, the American Healthcare Documentation Professionals Group, Inc. (AHDPG) introduced the first online training course for medical scribes in the field. The Medical Scribe Professional Training Program is intended for people who are new to the healthcare industry or for those who want to improve their knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology. The AHDPG introduced the Medical Scribe Certification Exam in 2016. The Certified Medical Scribe Professional (CMSP) and Apprentice Medical Scribe Professional (AMSP) credentials are issued by the American Healthcare Documentation Professionals Group to qualified medical scribes.
